The Cream of the Crop Coffee, Shibuya

Cream of the crop is nestled inside a department store in Shibuya's Hikarie tower,  a block away from the famous Shibuya intersection. (Part of Chalait's Tokyo Coffee Series)© dandalker | CHALAIT

It can be a little tricky to find (if you're blindly following your GPS) and even trickier to figure out how to get into it when the department store is closed. However, once we had successfully navigated our way into the store, all of that was forgotten as we settled into our seat to sample the goods.© dandalker | CHALAIT

Cream of the Crop is known for serving a pretty good cup of iced coffee but as this was the first stop on our tour we decided to sample the espresso to kick things up to a higher gear. Couple that with a fresh, crispy croissant and it makes for a great breakfast.© dandalker | CHALAIT

Cream of the crop may lack a bit of the urban vibe and ambiance of some other coffee stores on this list but it still makes a solid cup of coffee. It's a great option for anyone looking to escape the crowds in this busy area. © dandalker | CHALAIT
